Adopting RDA Products: A Roundtable Digital
Adopting RDA Products: A Roundtable Digital Hosted by members of the Digital Practices in History and Ethnigraphy IG and the Empirical Humanities WG
Please give a short introduction describing the scope of the group and if any previous activities
The groups hosting this BoF have hosted a number of previous BoFs intended to draw together a wide variety of researchers focused on developing practices and technologies to better enable collaborative research and experimenting with forms of communication.
Objectives, agenda and audience:
This Birds-of-a-Feather session will bring together people who have designed or tried to adopt RDA products. Participants will share experiences, challenges, and ways to improve the RDA product adoption process. One discussion item will be the need for a way to demonstrate that a particular project or system has adopted an RDA product -- as illustrated by experience adopting RDA's Practical Policies (for data management) in the Platform for Experimental, Collaborative Ethnography (PECE). The PECE design group will also demonstrate a tool that facilitates collaborative approaches to the adoption of RDA products. The majority of this session will be open-ended discussion, so please come prepared to talk about your own experiences with (or desires related to) adoption processes in RDA.
