It is counted among the world’s leaders in teaching, research, patient care, and service to society. The Washington University Libraries are a network of academic resources featuring 12 libraries (10 on the Danforth Campus, one at West Campus, one at the Medical School); vast print and electronic collections; and expert librarians.

The Washington University in St. Louis Libraries are committed to the efforts of research data sharing and interoperability. Historically, libraries have acted as the portal to scholarly communications.  Traditional skills related to information organization, discoverability, and preservation naturally extend to research data.  RDA is unique in that researchers heavily drive and collaborate on fulfilling its mission, thus making the results all the more meaningful to faculty and researchers worldwide.
