Andreas Veispak

Andreas Veispak, an Estonian, started his professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, working on numerous projects across different sectors of the economy. He joined the European Commission in 2005 where dealt with the automotive industry and was responsible for questions related to industrial competitiveness, energy and the environment. Between 2010 and 2015, he was part of the team of the Director General of DG GROW at the European Commission (internal market, industrial competitiveness, space – Copernicus and Galileo – entrepreneurship and SMEs). From 2015 until 2019, he was in charge of the EC’s activities related to space data and the Copernicus Earth Observation Programme, following which he became responsible for the unit dealing with digital infrastructures the European Open Science Cloud at DG CNECT of the EC. Andreas was educated at the University of Oxford where he studied Modern History.
