INSPIRE Hack

Dear all,
Plan4all will again organize INSPIRE Hack. This is Hackathon focused more on professionals, than students and this group. See the concept http://ijsdir.jrc.ec.europa.eu/index.php/ijsdir/article/download/481/429.
This is the third year of the INSPIRE Hackathon. The workshop aims to present the hackathon results and award the best projects. The hack will start before the conference already in July 2018. The hackathon itself and the team work will be done remotely.

Dear colleagues,

RDA/IGAD chairs will start to organize the IGAD Meeting(s) in Gaborone (Botswana) November 2018 in the next days. As a first step, we would be interested to know how many people from the Interest Group would be attending the RDA Plenary.

Even if you are not sure but you would be interested to attend, please send to AIMS@fao.org and let us know.

Thank you in advance!

Hopefully relevant and useful for IGAD members and colleagues, I'd like to
warmly invite participation in a New and Emerging Technologies in
Agriculture session at SciDataCon - during International Data Week
alongside RDA P12. We are seeking contributions *from those engaged in
research or projects using agricultural data and information technologies

Re: [rda-agrdatainterop-ig] RE: [rda-agrdatainterop-ig] Re: [rda-agrdatainterop-ig]...

Hi Valeria,
Thanks so much that's really helpful! I'm not anyone who could/should be
contributing but rather on the tech-user end - definitely interested in
using the output of semantically interlinked URIs. Is there an estimated
timeline on that effort and/or somewhere public we could follow progress or
even I guess your output would be announced on this list hopefully?
Context for my question was a recent small gathering of people in the USA
interested in open tech for Ag had a sub-group looking to apply

Re: [rda-agrdatainterop-ig] Publication and alignment of authoritative vocabularies for...

If you are interested in that particular GODAN group, I suggest
contacting Ruthie Musker at GODAN (cc'd) and/or Matthew Lange at UC
Davis (cc'd) who runs IC-FOODS (https://www.ic-foods.org/)---getting on
the email list via the GODAN website is...elusive...at best at this
point.
As far as publications go, a list of GODAN reports are available here:

Publication and alignment of authoritative vocabularies for food - Working Group?

Is anyone here involved in this GODAN project?

Looks like it began Nov 2017 so probably too early to see any
recommendations/publications but I was wondering if there were any public
mailing lists/repos perhaps?

IGAD at RDA P11: follow the guide

Dear Colleagues,
This year IGAD will focus on the implementation of the FAIR principles during the RDA P11. To this end, we propose a three-step program:
· 19-20 March at Leibniz-Gemeinschaft in Chausseestraße 111, Berlin: the pre-meeting where we will have presentations on institutional use cases, semantics and data models, and examples of implementation of the FAIR principles in research infrastructures. The full Agenda is available at
